Before Christmas, our site was recently filled with warmth, pride, and a strong sense of belonging as we welcomed parents and carers for our Progress Arcs parent engagement evening. The atmosphere throughout the evening reflected the strong community we continue to build, where families feel welcomed, valued, and connected to their children’s learning experiences.

The focus of the evening was our vocational subjects, giving parents and carers the opportunity to explore the work students have been producing. Displays and practical demonstrations highlighted the skills, knowledge, and personal development taking place across these areas. More importantly, they told the story of students growing in confidence, discovering their strengths, and taking pride in what they can achieve. Seeing families engage in meaningful conversations with staff and students brought these achievements to life.

Parent engagement evenings play an essential role in supporting student success. They strengthen the partnership between home and school, ensuring that everyone is working together with a shared understanding and purpose. When students see their families taking an active interest in their education, it builds motivation, self-belief, and a sense of achievement that reaches far beyond the classroom.

We are incredibly thankful to all the parents and carers who took the time to attend and support their children. A sincere thank you also goes to our dedicated staff for their preparation and commitment, and to our students for the pride, effort, and enthusiasm they showed throughout the evening. Events like this remind us of the powerful impact of working together and the difference a supportive, connected community can make in shaping positive futures for our young people.
